SPORTS ASSOCIATION of VOJVODINA is an association of sports organizations in Vojvodina in whose membership are 49 provincial branch associations and 28 municipal sports federations, making a total of 77 members.

HISTORY

Formal legal status: Sports Association of Vojvodina is an association of citizens in order to meet the needs of citizens in sports, in accordance with the Law on Sport RS 1996. and the Law on Defining scope of the Province from 2002. The system of organized sport in Vojvodina was launched immediately after the Second World War Gymnastics Board decision in Vojvodina 03.12.1945. Decision of the Steering Group for the gym and sports rehabilitation in Vojvodina 07.04.1945. All caught pre-war property sports organizations and federations became the fund for the reconstruction of sports in. On this basis, 1949. formed: the Alliance of Physical Education Organization of Vojvodina with the status of the organization of special social significance.
SOFK Vojvodina 1993. changed its name to Sports Association of Vojvodina. RS Law on Sport in 1996. Sports Alliance of Vojvodina and formally lost its status of a collective of representatives of sports organizations and federations from the territory of Vojvodina in the hierarchy of sport organizations and the Republican federal level, which loses importance until the early 90's of last century had.
